Absolutely lovely train car with very good food served. I recommend an excursion with this group! If you have the chance spend some time in Bardstown as well, great place to visit!

The people were great. Food excellent. Love the train ride. Really enjoyed everything about it. If you are a person that gets motion sick really easy it may not be for you. I am one of those people. However I started out the 1st half riding backward but I was by the window which really helped. When we started back to the station moving the other direction I started feeling a little nauseous. The poor guy sitting across from my husband did fine fir the first half but get pretty nauseated going backward the 2nd half. We both were pretty happy to get off of the train. All in all... it was still a great experience and do recommend it to others.

Dining experience and train ride both really nice. The “murder mystery” however, was very disappointing. The plot line was silly and childish, and there really wasn’t any murder. The murder mystery itself only took about 10 minutes, split into 3 different sections throughout the train ride. Definitely not worth the extra $30 per person. But, food was good, staff were attentive. Would go again, but definitely not for the murder mystery ride.

We attended the Valentine's Day excursion and were very impressed. The service was impeccable and the food was top notch. This is definitely something to put on your Kentucky bucket list! It is a hidden gem!

My daughter and I did the lunch train on a Saturday and everything was flawless from making our reservations, to the train ride to the amazing food. Check in at the depot and wait in the beautiful lounge or browse the small gift shop. There is a full bar, but coffee and soft drinks are included with your reservation.
The trip is 35 miles round trip and takes about 2 1/2 hours. There are points of interest along the way that the staff will point out. The food was amazing. Our chili and salad were waiting for us at our places upon boarding. Staff is attentive and fun to talk to about the adventures along the way.
Main course was to die for with plenty to take home for left overs. The pot roast was 4-star. Make sure you leave room for dessert. My daughter had the chocolate mousse and I the cheesecake. Again, top-notch.
Can't wait to go again and take extended family.
