I have never had a bad meal here. The food is always fresh and tastes so good! Try the chicken salad! It's delicious. And while they're known for their sugar cookies (yum!) try the strawberry cupcakes or a slice of the cake. Worth every penny!

So surprised to find this unique spot has so few reviews. After traveling all over the lower 48, I will have to say Root-A-Bakers is in our top nationwide picks overall. From the friendly staff, appearance and most of all the delicious array of offerings, it's unparalleled. We had the bacon and spinach quiche, along with the choose three salads. We chose chicken, pimento cheese and pasta. Also tried the loaded potato salad and broccoli and cauliflower salad. Breads are baked daily and offerings include cheddar herb and cranberry walnut. We did not have a bad bite. And the desserts are "to die for." We tried the famous sugar cookies and the scones. If you're looking for a breakfast scone, try the sausage and cheddar one. It's unbelievable and not hard like typical sconces. So delicious! This place is so much more than a bakery. You will not leave hungry, portions are huge and you'll have a smile on your face!

A gem in Morehead, the cheddar herb bread is amazing, well, to be honest, everything I have had has been amazing! Make sure to let them know if it is your first time as you will get a free sugar cookie! Also, if you haven't already sit in when you have your lunch!

We always love this place! We got the chicken salad and fruit. Wonderful! Also, the soup of the was potato. It was great!

Phenomenal food and even better service. The soup, sandwiches, and desserts were impeccable. If you want to feel decadently full and respectfully served, then make the trip from Anywhere, KY.! It's like you're home with family, only these ladies fix it better than my granny ever could (and she was a great cook!) Thank you for a great graduation celebration!! We'll be back...
