Fava's Restaurant

My daughter and I stopped in here for lunch and were greeted the moment we stepped through the door. Noticed through out our dining experience that everyone here seemed to know just about everyone else. Lots of people were greeted by first name as they entered.
Heard a few people say, "I'll have my regular" and the staff knew exactly what that was and got to it lickety split.
Food was good, we had trouble finishing everything. The burgers were large and juicy. Onion rings fantastic and their homemade chips were good as well.
Had a milkshake between us and still had trouble finishing it.
Fun atmosphere, small town feel that is like you've stepped back in time. This is a quaint place for a relaxed meal in a historic building with old school charm.
Love that this is a family owned business that has been passed down through the generations.

I felt like I missed the charm of this place. The service was sub par; I was here longer than I should have been for a quick lunch. The food all sounded good on the menu, and to be fair, my Turkey reuben was very tasty, but it all seemed to be cheap prepared food with not many gourmet or local ingredients. The interior was nothing special, without much thought put into a theme or decorating. I left feeling full and satisfied, but it didn't leave an impression on me. I felt like I could find something better the next time around Georgetown.

My husband and I ate there for dinner saturday night, I got Fava's beer cheese burger and he got the Tiger Burger, loaded cheese fries and shakes. The shakes were good and so were the fries. My hubby loved his burger, mine was just alright. Service was great and friendly though!

I used to love this place 10 years ago. But the last 3 times I have went there in the last year or so, service sucked real bad.

Edit for the owner. Don't remember the exact times or dates, but the last one was on a Friday night at about 6PM. I know you are often busy then, and we expected that. But we stood there for several minutes and was never even acknowledged. The time before that, was about 1PM on a weekday I think. Got to a booth almost immediately, but waited a long time for service and food. I will probably be back, since I like the quaint local places. Hopefully with more stars. Thanks for listening..
