New China Restaurant

A long establishment of Franklin KY, not the best looking when it come to looks, building is old . But we eat here all the time and the owners are very nice (lady) owner needs a vacation. We would recommend this establishment to outsiders. It’s in downtown Franklin, KY next to the Piggly Wiggly Grocery store.

As of 8/20/19 I came and saw this sign on the front door. We will see if new folks will keep the standing as the owners I have come to know.

I made the mistake of going here late in the afternoon. Most items had been run out what was there had been sitting for a while. What was there tasted good but was dry from sitting. Service was non-exisitent as the workers were communed for a break together. $20 plus tip for me and my 8 year old daughter to eat on a buffet that wasn't fully stocked. Our server checked on us once and we had a pile of 5 plates on the table when we left. Having spent 30 years in the restaurant industry the one thing that was preached constantly was same level and quality of service for the last customer as the first. That goes for the ones in the middle too. It may be worthwhile during peak hours but i would avoid any other time.

Waitress was amazing. Asked if we needed her to bring more of to the buffet. Food was good and filling.

Average to below average food here. The lady at the front is super nice. Carryout has been pretty good, but the chicken is usually rubbery and undercooked. Sometimes my broccoli is super hard and undercooked too. The buffet was decent, but to be honest we prefer to go up to bowling green for chinese food.
