Kentucky Grand Hotel

I look forward to future visits here!
The surprise was the splash pad across the street, a carousel and lots of greenspace to enjoy. Everyone here were friendly and helpful.

The General Manager, Steven, was wonderful and very helpful. The suite was very nice--much nicer than the price would indicate. We had dinner and breakfast there and we enjoyed both very much. Isabel served us and she was so sweet. We hope to come back sometime.
It was our 50th anniversary and they made it extra special.

The KY Grand is a lovely, small boutique hotel. All the staff I came in contact with were very nice and helpful. The piano bar is cozy and beautiful. The lobby area is very chic and comfortable. My room {Lincoln Suite} was very nice and spacious with a full sitting area, dining table, giant bathroom with tub and walk in shower. The bed was very comfortable, one of the best I've experienced in a hotel and I have traveled quite a bit. I gave a three star rating for the following reasons. I could hear every word spoken by the guests in the room next door and they were not speaking loudly. The room did have a pod coffee maker, but the cups in the room were large, unwrapped foam that would not fit the coffee maker. There was not an electrical plug in the bathroom, which I found inconvenient. At check in, I was given a key to the back door of the hotel and informed that the doors to the hotel would be locked at 9:00, but I could come in through the back door. I was out at an event until midnight. The back door is located in the small parking lot and was not well lit at all. Had my friends not walked me back to the hotel, i would have found this uncomfortable as a woman alone having to fumble with a lock to get in the hotel. Except for very dim lighting near the elevator, there were no lights on in the lobby area at all. All in all, my stay was nice.
