*Edit* Wife and I ate there last sunday and her chicken tasted off, and my pasta was like sucking on straight lemon. We raised the issue to the owner (after taking way too long to get the attention of our waitress, the same girl we've had to wait too long for multiple recent visits) and was given excuses with no actual concern or resolution. No offer to remake the bad portions, and paid full price for only half the food being actually edible. I waited so long to update the review because Im torn about it, the times we've had good food, it's been great. Very poor service though, and that will keep me from returning as eagerly. Rating reduced to 3 stars from 5.

*Original review following* Good food. Suffering same issue as the last Italian place that closed down here, bad location and no advertising. Wife had the spaghetti and meatballs and enjoyed it (and mentioned the meatballs were cooked perfectly, in the sauce, as they should be), I had the pizza and enjoyed it. Like the last Italian place as well, best pizza in the city. Italian cream cake is great too.

First impression when walking in was its a very old building that smells like an old church. Hostess asked where we would like to sit so we requested a booth. The table was at least a foot and a half away from the booth seat, so not reccomended for short people. They had about 5 tables seated total with two tables around 8 to 12 people, so not super busy, but only two wait staff. BOTH wait staff came up and asked for our drinks and what we wanted so wasn't sure who was our waiter. It even confused them.

We ordered stuffed mushrooms, fettuccine Alfredo, and a tiramasu. They brought us garlic bread rolls to start, which were really good! The pasta came with a salad.

The mushrooms were definitely frozen then reheated in an oven to boiling. The mushroom itself was juicy, but lacked flavor. according to my bf who ordered "reading the ingredients list, non of it tasted present." The sauce itself though created a wonderful dip for the garlic bread.

The Alfredo just a normal plate comes with no veggies, and for some reason comes with a spoon. I was kinda shook when I pulled out a spoon from my plate. They were kind enough to add spinach to my order for no charge. The sauce was very thin, and didn't have much flavor, but after sitting in my fridge for a few hours and thickened up it was way tastier.

The salad was mid. The actual lettuce was quality, but the only thing that separated it from just being a lettuce bowl and a salad was two onions and a single cherry tomato. Brought that home to spruce up.

The tiramasu was delicious, but came with chocolate syrup on top, the waiter saw me trying to wipe it off and was kind enough to get me a new one, so make sure you ask for it without first if you prefer a more natural tiramasu.

Throughout the meal I watched as our second waiter who had taken up the ball to do our table disappeared into the back to help the cook while the hostess jumped in to wait tables.

The prices and menu options are still intriguing enough for us to come back for entrees, but the appetizer opinions for the same price as an entree was what threw me off. 10 dollars for 6-8 mozzarella sticks when I box of 40 them is 13$ at the super 1 was off-putting as much as I love them.

All in all was a very mid experience, but still has great potential. With a proper table rotation, an extra staff here or there, and a few tweaks to some recipes I could see this place becoming my new favorite spot.

I called in an order for a supreme pizza. I told the guy on the phone that I wanted no onion or bell pepper on half. He repeated back "no onion, bell pepper or ham". I repeated myself a couple times to get him to understand.
When I got there to pick up the order I told the lady my name and I was there for a carry out order. She said"oh he took your order" and acted like she couldn't check in it. I finally get the order and get it home the whole thing had onions and bell peppers. The atmosphere in the place was also lacking. There was only one table of patrons and it was like no one cared when I walked in the door. I'm not sure yet if I'll give them another try

My husband and I dined here for the first time, and had a nice experience. Our waitress Holly was lovely, and all of the staff we interacted with were welcoming. The restaurant is brand new, so it seemed a little lacking in a warm lived in ambiance. That being said, it was spotlessly clean.
The food was delicious. We remarked on how the pasta was a little too salty for our palate, but so is the pasta in Italy. I had chicken and vegetables in marinara, and my husband had salmon and spinach in white wine sauce. The measure of an Italian restaurant is boiled down to one question. How was the sauce? It was delicious.
With very few additions, like soft Italian music for ambiance, and holding back on the salt and doubling down on the garlic (to better suit the palate of the customers), we have nothing but good things to say about Roma’s. We can’t wait to return and update my review.
