The sesame chicken was amazing. Not just your average sesame chicken, it was really good and really different from other places I've tried.

The menu is mostly fried seafood but they also have about a dozen basic Chinese dishes a ND some poboys. I got a fried shrimp and catfish combo with shrimp fried rice. The catfish was fine but I can't recommend the shrimp or fried rice. The shrimp was below average. Too much batter which held just enough oil to make the dish too rich. The shrimp was a bit disappointing. It had little flavor and had a sort of sllippery texture that makes me think it was imported and frozen. The shrimp fried rice had a sort of nutty but uninteresting flavor and a little bit of scrambled egg and a few tiny shrimp if you looked hard enough. Nothing else. Also disappointing. The eggroll was decent. The staff was very friendly.

This is one of those diamond in the rough places. Best food in a hard to come by kinda place. Definitely worth a visit if passing through or close to Donaldsonville. And the lemonade is the sweetest!!!
