Smalls Sliders

Was driving between New Orleans and Lafayette, flight was late so got in too late to go where I had planned to stop to eat. Normally shun chains, but it was late, they were open and there was long line of people there so gave it a shot. It was also some opening special, or anniversary special and you got an extra slider with any order. So enough disclaimers, here is my review.

Got a two pack and fries and a drink, so got 3 total, under $10. They are small which might turn off some people, but was impressed with the mighty flavor of the little slider. Bun was warm and was buttered, more artisan than your White Castle, plus better meat and better cheese, and seasoning vs usual tasteless fast food. Fries were waffle fries, like Chick-Fil-A. All fresh, and delivered hot in styrafoam, which might also bother some, but say what you will it did its job keeping the food hot. Strange as it sounds, a nice presentation of fast food late at night.

Think kid sized food flavored for adults. Not a bland hamburger, by any means but nothing screaming at you other than a good old fashioned well prepared small burger with more meat than you would expect. Think in the family of costlier sliders at a bar, but cheaper, and of course no liquor.

They have outdoor seating, and drive through. Very busy so was slow, but to be expected with the free slider promotion. First time there but don't think quality suffered because of crowd, as the burger was far, far better than I had expected or even hoped for.

Good meat which was surprising for a cheap burger combo, and real cheese with flavor. Like their late hours when everyone else is closing earlier, and found them to be a step up over fast food.

Again, it they are small but when you are named "Smalls" not sure why this should surprise you, and you can order as many as you want depending on how hungry you are.

Finally a decent burger place without a million choices to choose. Actually already love because of the simplicity and I don't have to keep going to baton rouge for these juicy little burgers. Despite some of the surprising negative reviews I have been seeing. This place is number one as far as burgers go in my book. Yes it may take a little while for food to come out. But just have some patience.
