The food was great! Very tasty and definitely satisfying! The staff were all friendly and very attentive.

Finally! Some decent Mexican food in Zachary! I travel to Mexico often and live the food, but haven't been able to find good Mexican in the area. I've been here a few times and enjoyed everything I've ordered. Still a little different than what you'd be used to in Texas or elsewhere, but much more like authentic Mexican food than other places in the area.

This was our first trip to Vaqueros, but there will be future trips. The decor for this place is fascinating. It's extremely colorful, and there's a large stuffed animal head on the wall. It's some type of cattle, type unknown, but it's name is "Burro" (I asked.) The staff is crazy friendly, and we were treated fabulously. When it came to the food, I got the fajitas, and my husband ordered the chimichanga plate along with a cheese and onion enchilada. My food was fabulous. My plate came with charro beans, and they were some of the best I've ever had. The chimichangas were good, but be aware they're not fried like most places. The enchilada was gross. I'm not sure why it's on the menu. Don't be dismayed by the enchilada, the rest of everything was excellent.
