    Stopped by for some food and everything we had hit the spot. Great people great food. The shrimp poboy is stuffed and it's so good. The chicken tenders with that honey mustard is addicting. I can eat that honey mustard with everything.

    I tried the shrimp poboy (fully-dressed), and it was loaded with medium-sized fried shrimp. Delicious!

    Been a favorite of ours since our college days at LSU, and we still go every year we're home for a family visit. Today we had the shrimp platter, shrimp poboy and a hamburger steak plate! It's always delicious, hot and fresh!

    George's Southside is great for the atmosphere and history. It is essentially unchanged from when I first visited about 20 years ago which could be a good or bad thing. The poboys and burgers are good, the staff is always extremely friendly, and the service is usually quick.

    For what it is, though (a local burger/bar), there are better eats elsewhere.

    First they close at 10 and not 11 like Google says!! But this did not stop this awesome bartender from giving us amazing service. From making sure since it was out first time that I got a copy of the menu she wrote our the daily specials...just wow! And did I mention we showed up at like 9 :40ish??? Now on to the food its fresh and plentiful. Me and my spouse got12 in poyboy could only eat half but work every penny!!!
