The Bayou Affect

I have been traveling from North Carolina to Texas and was looking for somewhere to get some Louisiana seafood. I wish I could have done 3.5 stars because it was so close to being perfect. I was a little bummed it wasn't a dine in place but that's fine, I'm just eating it in my car. Maybe one day they can expand. The cashier was very nice but maybe a little unsure of the menu. Since the displayed menu didn't offer any descriptions I had to ask questions and she couldn't answer all of them, which is fine. It also took about 15 minutes longer than I was quoted. She helped me choose the seafood potatoes special which also came with 2 pieces of fish and I added a strawberry lemonade and a side of fries. This was hands down the best food I've had in a very long time. The seasonings were spot on and it was all cooked perfectly. I thought it was strange there wasn't ice for the drink but the lemonade was good. I wish I was planning on coming back this way because I think I will be dreaming of this food for a while. Definitely try it and give them a chance. I can't compare it to any other local food, but it is wonderful in my books.

Absolutely loved the food here. The lamb was amazing and perfectly cooked 13/10. The pasta has flavor but some of the flavors are competing with each other, overwhelms the palette a little7/10. However the meats paired with it are all well cooked and seasoned.
We also got the salmon bites which dissolved in the mouth, absolutely amazing 10/10. My only suggestion would be to maybe provide other sauce choices as you get the Asian chili sauce with other foods provided during the meal.
The egg rolls were very good but the exterior of the egg roll was not thinned out quite as much as it should be, so that when it was fried, it left behind a texture on the exterior where in some places it was grainy and you could taste the uncooked flour. The filling however was amazing! 7.5/10
The creamy Mac and cheese absolutely lived up to its name. 10/10
The strawberry lemonade is on the sweeter side and very delicious. 10/10
This place has the making of a five star restaurant, they just need a little more time to master their meals.

Food was amazing! Lamb chops were perfectly seasoned and the mac and cheese was delicious. Very nice sized catfish and shrimp and so flavorful.
Only complaint is we called ahead for pickup and told us 30 minutes we were 15 minutes late and food still wasnt ready. Its definitely worth the wait though!

The wings tasted grilled and had amazing flavor. Best garlic parmesan wings I've ever had. The Mac and cheese were the creamiest ever as well. I can't say enough good things about the loaded mashed potatoes and of course the fried fish was on point. The shrimp also tasted grilled and were truly plump and delicious. The only thing lacking was not having a dessert menu. Amazing place surprised this is the first I have heard of it considering it is almost a year old.
