Great cajun/creole cuisine. It feels like your mom’s kitchen. No servers, no waiters or waitresses but the staff is kind and personable.

The service was great, but food not so much the chicken from the jambalaya was dry, it tasted like dry rotisserie chicken and a few pieces of sausage, the crab pies were the the size of a dumpling, and the gumbo, let’s say I had better ones, green beans and corn tasted straight from the can. My husband liked the rice and beans with sausage. Not bad but not so good either.

In town for business, and ordered dinner from here on GrubHub. It was SO delicious that I stopped in the next day for lunch. Excellent food, great service. I'll be stopping in every time I'm in town :)

My wife and I along with my daughter and a friend went to the new location on Lee drive and was very impressed. The owner came out and greeted us and the employees were very informative. Let's just say RnR is our newest addiction

My partner and I decided to grab some southern Cajun cooking prior to heading back to Texas. We stopped in Rice & Roux which is pretty much a hole in the wall. Nothing fancy about this place, but the food sure is good for the price. For under $15 you can get a sampler of jambalaya, gumbo, a dinner side, a dinner roll, drink and one entree.
I had a sampler combo #2 with the boudin. It was pretty tasty but my favorite had to be the gumbo; perfectly seasoned and the meat was blended well.
If I do come back it sure will be for the gumbo.
My partner loved his red beans and rice!
Overall, if you are in this area and want a taste of Cajun this is a perfect spot to stop by and fix your cravings.
