Teche Cafe

Went to Teche Cafe at the suggestion of a local. Unassuing place from the exterior. We saw customers leaving with huge bags of food while walking up to it. The soups and seafood were perfectly seasoned and prepared.
The interior is the opposite of fancy, but the quality of the food makes that meaningless. Our waitress was enthusiastic and knowledgeable.
Be aware: the customers are more likely to wear masks than the staff. You're on your own when it comes to protecting yourself here.
The take-out option is readily available but eating in or out will still be a gourmet meal.

Very good breakfast. Portions are huge and prices inexpensive. Also, if you go for dinner, their ribeyes and stuffed potatoes are out of this world good!! Tip your waitress!

This place is good! Convenient pricing, big dishes and the employees are always very friendly.

Good was average. My husband’s burger was decent. It was an old fashioned burger. The fries were not that good. I ordered a cup of seafood gumbo and it was not good at all. It may be good for others but wasn’t the taste I’m used to. The service was good.
