Mosca's is in a simple, plain white building, on the eastbound side of U.S. Hwy. 90, in a semi-rural area. The interior is "old time", but also neat & clean. We ordered & shared the Crab Salad & Spaghetti & Meatballs (w/bread & butter). Everything was very good and interesting, actually. First visit, here. RJT
I've been eating at Mosca's since I was a child. It was fantastic then and still is now! The food is terrific and very consistent. Lots of olive oil and garlic. Wonderfully comfortable and down to earth atmosphere. As Mosca's regulars know, the Oysters Mosca, Chicken A La Grande, Spaghetti Bordelaise, Shrimp Mosca, and Crab Salad are the stars. If you have room, splitting a filet to share at your table is a great addition. Though they have graduated from the simple water glasses in which they used to serve wine on to more standard wine glasses, this is still the same wonderful Mosca's that will make you feel right at home!
Went to NOLA for our honeymoon and was told we needed to make the trip here to eat, so we paid the $60 can fare and went. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED. This is good ol family Italiano food in the south and I was immediately at home as soon as I walked through the door. Home atmosphere, home food, it was great! Will definitely go again when we visit NOLA again!
This is one of my favorite places to eat. The food is always good. Unfortunately they were out of my favorite sausage and the pineapple fluff. I was a little disappointed but survived. Of course, we will always go back. The prices are excellent. In my humble opinion is the best food value around
