I've been to Desi's Steakhouse downtown many times, so we decided to try his new seafood restaurant in Metairie. Glad we did!
From start to finish, our meal was excellent. The soup of the day was Turtle Soup. Then I got the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake appetizer along with the Surf & Turf entree. Although I wanted to try their seafood, I couldn't pass up the signature butter sizzling steak. Every item was cooked to perfection.
And, the service was also outstanding. We'll definitely be back!
Great experience tonight at Desi Vega’s in Metairie. We sat by the bar before we ate and the staff was extremely friendly. Dinner was first class, I highly recommend.
I absolutely love the bar staff. They provide they best quality of service. The food at this restaurant is super tasty. I always bring my friends here. But during my visit last night, the co-owners wife ruined our time. The stench of desperation for attention radiated throughout the dining room from her table. With every martini she had, her screeching cackle and swear words reverberated with such an intensity that I’m certain I would’ve stabbed my ears with ice picks if that would guarantee my permanent hearing loss.
I mean—if the Real Housewives of Metairie was a thing, she’d be on it. And speaking of, whatever she was on, she needs *less* of it. It was an extremely ghetto experience. If I could be empathetic, our hearing fades as we age and maybe her eardrums were destroyed during her prime years. Still, I wouldn’t recommend being there if she’s there to be quite frank.
I refuse to rate this establishment with less than four stars solely based on the wonderful staff, delicious food, and the united expression of bewilderment across everyone’s face in the restaurant with every screech and cackle of this unpleasant patron and her guests.
Upscale but still allowed people in casual wear to enter. Food was very good, service was excellent (Jason and Devonte), and I was actually surprised at the price. Expected to pay much more than I actually did. Recommend this spot.
never been to a steakhouse without baked potatoes but the steak was awesome and the seafood tower was delicious
