Last minute decision to grab dinner @ 9 Roses was once again a winner. This was to be a quick, uncomplicated supper, & though it was uncomplicated it turned out to be not so quick.
Started out with some delicious hot & sour soup. That was followed by fried calamari, lightly battered & tender with an accompanying sweet&sour sauce. The climax was an order of bacon that we cooked ourselves on the in-table grill, served with fresh greens, along with both fish & peanut sauces. This is where the "not so quick" part comes in. When you are cooking your own, it takes a bit of time ... but it is a whole lot of fun...& it is every bit as delicious!

My all time favorite spot to get Vietnamese food in Louisiana when I visit. Their seafood hot pot is comparable to the place that I go to in Cali. The restaurant is big so the wait is never long. Food is consistent, service is good.
