Excellent food and fast service. Had the brisket with mac and cheese and green beans. Tried every sauce and they were all fantastic. Only thing that threw me were that the pickle slices were sweet pickles instead of dill. Usually I don't care for sweet pickles but these were pretty good. Will definitely go there again.
This place was amazing! Best service I've had in a while. All of the food we had was delicious (ribs, pulled pork sandwich, smoked sausage, brisket, baked beans, potato salad, and green beans). We only waited about 3 minutes for the food to be brought out pipping hot and they even stopped by to see how everything was. Highly recommend this establishment if you are in the mood for excellent barbecue.
Pulled pork, brisket, chicken, and sausage were amazing, along with the green beans and baked beans. I didn't think that the potato salad and mac and cheese were anything to write home about, but not bad... But everything else really was amongst the best that I have ever had.
Smoked is a great lunch spot. It's extremely quick with a nice menu. They have the standards, like pork, brisket, sausage, chicken, and it's got a nice smokey flavor. They have five sauces on the table. Good sides, desserts, and daily specials that include chili and tacos in the rotation.
This place has opened up in the strip mall next to a well-known Vietnamese restaurant. It's a nice compliment to other eateries in the area. The space is quite small with only 5 tops. The staff is very friendly and the service is good. I do think however that the food could be a little bit more distinctive. There's nothing bad about it but it doesn't necessarily stand out. I had their smoked turkey which was basically a smoked version of pressed deli turkey meat. The sides are okay but again kind of average. In any other Market this place would probably do very well but people here are Foodies so they need to step it up a little bit more to be noticed.
Here are some things I would recommend to improve the menu.. make the sides more distinctive. Use something other than cheddar in the macaroni and cheese, put candied bacon on top of the potato salad or try something that doesn't taste like your standard picnic potato salad, have at least one spicy sauce. Most of the barbecue sauces are way too sweet. The bourbon sauce is good but there's not much distinction between it and the sweet sauce. Use real turkey meat and not the deli stuff.
