The food here is amazing! I can't elaborate enough! My go to is ALWAYS the duck and andouille gumbo and maybe a small salad or and appetizer. But I literally drive here for the gumbo. The roux is a dark, velvety chocolate color and its rich and warm with the flavor that has developed from browning it low and slow. The duck simply falls apart, it's so moist and tender. It's seasoned to perfection. And it never disappoints!
My wife loves the corn and crab bisque; creamy and rich with the perfect crunch of the sweet corn its loaded with wonderful, succulent bites of lump crab meat. But you really can go wrong with their menu. The restaurant has a Louisiana swamp/bayou feel on the inside. The bar area always has a game on the TV, with its own atmosphere as it's split off. They also have the option of being able to split off part of the dining area with a portion type wall/barn doors to accommodate larger parties. Service is always outstanding. And in case you can't get enough of their signature bisque or gumbos, they are also packaged frozen for purchase before you leave.

Best seafood gumbo I ever had. I'm pretty sure it probably would cure Corona. LOL but seriously I drove from Texas to Alabama and had to stop here to get my fix. It's that good!

I'a local. First time in a sit-down restaurant in so long because of COVID. Tables way stretched out. It wasWierd looking. Menu severely reduced, but that's a good thing, I think. My wife Had the fried shrimp special $9.95. It was very good and looked good too. I had the 17.00 fried catfish. It seemed like a rather skimpy helping of catfish for $17, but it was still good. Side salads were cool and crispy. Even the bowls were chilled. Get the house permesan vinegarette. It is great.

Good experience but ordered fried seafood platter that made us feel yucky.

Prejean's is an amazing restaurant to sit down with your family and friends to enjoy a meal. The staff were quick, extremely friendly, and made my dining experience very pleasant. The atmosphere is amazing, very fitting and highly detailed. It really shows what the restaurant is meant to be. The food was very tasty and satisfying. Our food always arrived to our table with a friendly attitude. I have no complaints about my visit, and would certainly go back again. Highly recommended.
