There Dr Pepper shake are the best. If you haven't had one next time there is a Whataburger around you must stop and get you one. They are addictive lol. My brother and nephew got me hooked on them.
Food is good, but wait times are ridiculous. This place is too slow to be called fast food
The staff is always nice. The wait time is not too bad. Always open and perfect for late night food runs after everything else is closed.
My experience was okay, but... A new trainee was my order taker (no problem with that). All I had was a large bill. The manager was called to get me change. She had to go into the office and after what seemed like 10 minutes, brought change for a hundred in ones and fives! Meanwhile two other sets of customers left because it was taking so long.
While he was waiting for the change to come, he played with his mask and put his hands on a variety of surfaces.
Then when my order was delivered, another employee laid the iconic condiment/napkin tray on the counter (closer to me than to him) and asked if I wanted anything. I did and picked a couple of the spicy ketchup packets and a couple of napkins. To which he disappointedly said, "I was supposed to hand them to you."
Note to Whataburger, etc: if you don't want customers to reach and pick their own condiments, keep the tray closer to the employee and have them say, "may I get you some..."
But the good was good.
