Chef Anton, Diane, Daisy and staff gave my wife and I a memorable anniversary dinner! The appetizers of escargot, lump crab meat and entrees of drum and filet mignon and desserts of baked Alaska and homemade peppermint ice cream were to perfection!
Amazing food and service in a beautiful quaint restaurant on Magazine st. The yellowfin Tuna was cooked to perfection and the apple salad was delicious. This place is an excellent hidden gem!
Finally planned an evening to try this place, at the recommendation of many friends and neighbors. Ambiance is cozy and comfortable, and the food is phenomenal, as well as reasonably priced compared to similar local restaurants. The filet and duck are both phenomenal. Portion sizes are quite large, too. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back soon.
We had reservations for 7 people following a wedding ceremony, and I’m so glad it was here! The restaurant is small enough to feel intimate, but the tables are spaced well enough too still give the impression of privacy. Also, I’ve never been more impressed with service. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and everyone was very kind. Finally, the food was the best we had in New Orleans. The whole group was so impressed and happy with the food. Since I have no critiques, I’ll just share what we had: several of us got espresso throughout the meal, and for appetizers we ordered the smoked salmon mousse, lump crab, and escargot as appetizers. For entrées we had the filet of beef, the yellowfin tuna, and the black drum special. For dessert we had the creme brûlée, baked alaska, tangerine sorbet, and the berry cobbler. Then, the staff brought out a hazelnut ice cream with candles in it for the happy couple. Finally, as we were leaving they gave each of us some celebratory champagne.
***the best filet in town and it is not close.
I rarely give 5 stars. This place far exceeded expectations- the ambiance is wonderful in a charming converted house which is intimate and warm. The service is incredibly prompt attentive without being over bearing but the food is what really stole the show. The oyster appetizer is a must try. We had white fish and the fillet, the fillet is as good as I've had.
