I am a Big fan of the the creations of Breads on Oak street they make plant based foods that excite my old meat palate. The Vegan chocolate King cake is un matched in all the best ways. The service is sure to assure you it is all made and served with Love, Respect for the Environment, Earth and Our bodies. Thanks Ya'll
Holy cow. I'm not a meat eater but my husband is. If actually prefer just veg things vs meat substitutes but this place is awesome. The bread is terrific and the fillings on the two sandwiches we got were really tasty. Combine that with a cute courtyard with two sweet cats, solar power, and friendly counter service despite it being the weekend before Mardi gras and therefore crazy busy and we're singing the praises of this place to everyone we know that might be in the area.
This is hands down the best biscuit/ breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. And I’m not a vegan. It’s been almost a year my boyfriend and I went and we still talk about how good it is almost every week. I cannot describe how good they are with my limited vocabulary so you’ll just have to go try for yourself. I highly recommend the pumpkin biscuit sandwich and any of the brioche. You won’t regret it
One of, if not the, best chocolate chip & walnut cookie I’ve ever had. And by ever, I don’t just mean vegan. I mean ever. The buzz of this place can be felt right when you walk in. There’s a real youthful sense of passion & energy. Fresh made everything, an arsenal of pastries, sweets and breads, great coffee, blah blah blah.
It’s really damn good. It’s vegan. It’s New Orleans. ????
If you're on Oak Street, make sure you stop by this incredible bakery. Everything I've had here so far has been awesome. Highly recommend the Pumpkin Cheddar Biscuit, the Cajun Cheese Brioche and also any of their sweets! Actually, just go ahead and try everything because while I haven't had it yet I'm sure it's all delicious.
