Homegrown Pizza

Stopped in for a quick bite and was super impressed! The staff was very friendly, and the owner supports other local businesses. He was very knowledgeable about beer and had a nice variety to choose from. I had the Harold sandwich with hot peppers and the mozza mac, both delicious. I will definitely be back and recommending to friends.

It's hard to find all local ingredients in New Orleans yet Homegrown delivers! I have lived in Brooklyn, NYC and Philadelphia and this pizza is on par with all those places. The crust is very unique in what we used to call "sandy" pizza and makes the cheese and sauce pop! I go to UNO and it's a great inexpensive lunch/dinner option with great local beers on tap. Cannot recommend enough.

I had the pleasure of visiting Homegrown today. The name of the business says it all. The pizza was made with local ingredients and everything was so fresh. The crust was amazing. We had the Spicy Mike/Shrimp Creole Pizza with the UNO beer. What a great combination. I also taste a few other beers and I found out that all the companies were local as well. Overall it was a great visit, loved the local music and the staff was super friendly.

Best pizza in Gentilly!

I was lucky enough to be at their first ever dinner service! Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Locally sourced bread and pizza dough, home made marinara sauce and home pickled peppers were a great touch.

We started with the cheesy bread which was a long roll sliced on top with cheese between the slices topped with marinara. There flavors we really great.

Next we had a small plate of the Mozza Mac which was crispy on top and gooey, soft, and cheesy on the bottom. Mozzarella lovers should order this dish!

Finally we had a custom order pizza with fresh pineapple, pickled peppers, and pepperoni. The crust was amazing and the ingredients were in good proportion.
