Best meal I have ever had in Nola and I’m bored and raised here I’ve lived here!! I went all over Italy this year and every single dish I had was better than in Italy. They just perfected every Italian dish and made them exponentially better. The pizza was probably the best I’ve had. Burrata and panna was amazing with freshly baked in house bread. Pastas were amazing especially the lobster and blue crab ones. I had the exact same lobster pasta in Venice Italy and this one was much better. Drinks were really good too!! The place itself is so beautiful.Hope they get a happy hour soon because I will come for drinks all the time!!
Lively Italian restaurant with great food, a cool bar, and a fun atmosphere. You know a place is good when you walk in and everyone is talking loudly, laughing, and having a good time.
I absolutely over-ordered, got the arancini, the red shrimp, and the grilled oysters. All were really delicious with the shrimp being my favorite. The oysters had more of a mussel flavor to them and I almost mistook the dish for escargots. For entrees, ordered the mushroom pasta and ribeye. The pasta was amazing, great flavors and hardy mushrooms which add a ton of texture. The ribeye was really good…not sure if it’s 75$ good so might avoid that on future visits. The server was great but would have liked a little more help with the wine pairing. The one recommended didn’t exactly fit. Overall a really good experience and believe it or not I didn’t try everything on the menu so will be back for the rest.
Wonderful experience at Osteria Lupo! Do yourself a favor and do the tasting menu if you are out with a group. It’s an amazing value and gives you the opportunity to try many of the dishes. Excellent service and lively atmosphere as well. It’s a great place for a birthday or special event.
One of our favorite new restaurants.
We have had several great dinners here. All of the pastas are phenomenal. The lamb is definitely a highlight. The service was a little slow early on, but it has definitely gotten better and adjusted to the admittedly high expectations and buzz surrounding the opening. Drinks are phenomenal as well. A welcome addition to the neighborhood.
Parking uptown is horrendous per usual. But worth it to dine here. Standout dish was the Radiatori with Blue Crab...pasta was cooked perfectly, and the hints of spice from the sliced peppers went really well with the dish. Wasn't a fan of the Salsa Verde on the hangar steak, would've preferred their chimmichurri on top. Service was incredible and I would highly recommend dining here.
