The Backyard

Love this place - casual setting, top notch quality (but fast) food and friendly service. Great neighborhood spot

When planning our trip to New Orleans, we allowed our 9-year-old to plan some activities. He wisely chose the Backyard, as my kids love a playground. We traversed from our hotel on St Charles and Josephine to arrive, but the trip was worth it. My burger was fantastic, as was the Nada Cocktail (Tito's and Topo Chico). Overall it was a great experience!

The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, the restaurant is clean, and there is a nice variety of sandwich options (and even a couple of salads). We got the Sloppy Joe (pictured), traditional burger with cheese and bacon added on (pictured), and sweet potato fries (pictured). The Sloppy Joe could've used a bit more flavor and some kick, but they had hot sauce available to add. Burger and fries were good. There is a dedicated parking lot and additional street parking nearby. Indoor and outdoor seating.

After hanging out all day , we wanted a GOOD burger and The Backyard burgers hit the spot!!
The outside setting is very shady and cool.
The staff were very friendly.

There's a mini playground in the yard area which is cool if you kids

Food was really good and so was service. I really liked the atmosphere and playground was great stretching his legs after our trip down.

I had smoked tuna BLT and tater tots and he had ribs and fries. My Bermuda triangle and bf had jucifer IPA
