We were traveling back to Texas after week long vacation and craving for indian food and ended up in this restaurant for lunch buffet on Sunday. Food tasted excellent and they had a good spread for both veg and non-veg. Desserts tasted good as well.. I would love to eat here again if I get a chance to travel via Monroe.
I would actually say its a hidden gem. We were traveling to Texas from Mississippi and were badly craving for Indian food and then saw this in the Map. We were on time for their lunch buffet and the mutton biryani was simply awesome. Had quite a decent varieties in the buffet menu and the taste was superb! I would totally recommend this place especially to people who are traveling that way and need to stop for lunch!
Passing through the town we stopped for some Indian food. And were we in for a surprise?! It was very good authentic food. Though Indians, we can't handle the heat in most of the indian restaurants and despite forgetting to mention to make it mild, they kept it mild. The veggies tasted fresh and everything was tasty. The place was full at 6pm.
Best food in the twin cities hands down. Order the butter chicken or go for lunch and try the buffet. You will love it! The owners are incredibly nice and friendly. They know our favorites and never fail to stop by our table to say, "Hi". We are obsessed with this place.
If you have a slightly adventurous palate and like to experience new foods and cultures, you really need to visit Taste of India Restaurant on Roselawn in Monroe. The food is FANTASTIC and the service is wonderful. The owner tends to every table and makes sure that you are getting the full experience of eating there. We love this place because it always feels like you are eating as a guest in his home rather than just a restaurant patron. The menu is authentic with dishes ranging from chicken to seafood to lamb, and anything on the menu that says lamb can also be made with goat meat (yes... I said goat. It is very good! I get the Tikka Masala made with goat every time we visit).
