This is actually my favorite stop on the Dallas to Jackson, MS I-20 route. It is a rather nice laid back inconspicuous place that has great Honduran based food that is both quite good and reasonably priced. They have redecorated since I first started going there several years back and it is comfortable and warm with some nice architectural touches in the way they have done the walls. I particularly like the fact that they let me eat off the lunch/dinner menu at breakfast time
Although I like to eat early, I am not fond of most traditional breakfast foods. The cafe con leche has been mentioned by many others as very good and I will definitely second that. Another big plus is that they have handicap parking within six feet of the front door. For breakfast I had grilled shrimp with fried plantains and fried yuca. I like fried yuca ever so much better than standard french fries, and they do a good job with theirs. The waitresses are busy, friendly and efficient. Altogether very pleasant.
We stopped here on the way back from Florida to Texas and the food is delicious. We had Pupusas and I can say they were the best we have had in a while. The Aguas frescas were also very good.
Best shrimp tacos ever served on homemade corn tortillas. Haven't had Latin food this good since moving from Florida.
Had the coffee several times and it's always great, but the food blew me away. Flavors all over the place but worked so well together. Honduran Breakfast is 🔥
Wow this place. Don't pass up an opportunity to try the food and experience of this restaurant. The Latin serves fresh, authentic Honduran meals that make you feel like your doing your body a favor by eating there. The staff is lovable and aim to please, and the coffee is the best I've had locally; hands down the best. Beware of parking, and expect it to be packed out during peak hours.
EDIT:
Please train your staff. So many mistakes in my last few visits. Cold food. Girls don't know the menu. This is along my commute and I do not want to stop visiting this place over avoidable issues. The coffee is amazing but You haven't served sweet tea in a week. Its just clumsy service. Not very pleased.
