This café is a gem! We had the shrimp on a bun, dressed, with the most unusual French fries I've ever seen. And the seafood balls appetizer was to die for. Yes, you'll need to drive a good ways to enjoy this place, but you'll be about as far south in Louisiana as one can go by car, where the mighty Mississippi River is not bound by levees.
Overdue for this review. Been eating here for several years on my runs to Venice (truck driver) Staff is always friendly and food is always great! J7st walked out the door after having a Hamburger Steak for dinner. Great as always!
Absolutely lovely group of women running this place!! They are sweet, attentive and can cook!!
We loved everything we ordered. The shrimp are big are fried to perfection. (Other places like at the Venice marina, had little wimpy sad shrimp.)
Poboy delicious. Crawfish spinach dip was delicious too. And then onion rings! Yum. Tartar sauce homemade and delicious as well.
We will be back!
Wonderful food with generous portions was delivered speedily to our table. Great service and good prices. One also gets "cool points" for eating at the southernmost restaurant in the state, 65 miles south of New Orleans on HWY 23. I will definitely visit again.
Nice little restaurant! The food was very good. My husband had the roast beef Po Boy, my son the fish Po Boy, daughter the chicken fingers with delicious fries, and I had the Gumbo bowl. Everything was very tasty! The ladies were nice especially the owner, she gave us some recommendations about the area.
The place was very clean.
I definitely recommend to stop here if you're in Venice.
