Hubby and I stopped in for the first time
I had check an amazing amount of positive reviews, plus a personal recomendation from a friend with a warning it was a bit pricey. With that in mind I took a,look at the online menu to see what our choices may be. Well vast amount of choices in about any protein selection you could want was waiting on us! BubbaQues definatly DELIVERED the flavor 4 sure! We both chose 2 meat combos of which I picked brisket, one of my favorite go to at a bbq joint, and pulled pork. Both were nice portions as well as,the sides I selected of coleslaw which was very crisp and fresh, and Omgosh some of The BEST sweet taters fries I have every enjoyed in my LIFE! The slaw may or may my won a prize going up against grandmas slaw but them fries, mmm so good make ya wanna slap grandma I'm telling ya! I base a well executed sweet tater fry on a nice natural delivery of flavor, goid ones, don't need added sweet OR salt in my opinion, they stand alone on their own flavor merit, add to that an excellent job of frying them in good fresh grease,Oh My...you have a little bit of food heaven right in your mouth y'all,I'm telling ya! These fries were So Good even after they had gotten cold I was enjoying every morsel. Now back to the other stars of the plate, brisket done right, nice bit of bark, excellent smoke, and melt in your mouth moist,ad was the pulled pork.Yummy! So good with or without the sauces of which I got original and,the Alabama which is a sweet with just a bit of spicey red bbq sauce. The not so under dog on the plate was the Texas toast Bubba bread slice, nicely one side toasted buttered with slight seasoning, again very delish. I will admit no shame in my eating game I ate every bit on my plate with a to go sweet tea to top off my very happy palate. My husband had the St Louis rubbed ribs and brisket again both meats very tender moist, flavorful and I have to say the best ribs I have had maybe in my life time. I'm not a rib ordering person bc of the bad ribs in my life to me it's a gamble when you order them but these at BubbaQues...winner winner you be glad ya got ribs in your dinner! Hubby's sides of potatoe salad and some drop you to your knees baked beans,oh yeah baby I'm getting some beans next time they so good! Potatoe salad was good just got outshinned by all the other selections my palate had to savoy. So in recap..yes the total 4 a dinner for two may come in at 8 to 10.00 more than you would pay at some places ( fast food / some sit down ) However..I have to say this place is one of. ONLY THREE restaurants in Alex that I say delivers on flavor in ALL the foods they put on your plate.I can find places that have good entrees but fall flat on the sides or deliver greasy fried food,or a smoke after taste that..well just ain't right. But BubbaQues is real deal, yes they are part of a chain,a smart chain that figure BBQ out and then let it speak 4 it's self per say. Spend the extra,if the cost is extra to you.Enjoy, take yourself or the family out and try them. The menu does offer kids choices, they do have alcoholic choices, sports bar TVs, not a lot of noise level, exceptionally clean bathrooms and on that note Parents the bathrooms are easily seen from every booth or table in the seating area so a childs path to the bath room can be seen. Just another point. Busy days it may be packed and their may be a wait. We went apx 3 in the afternoon on Wed and was very quiet

Brisket: good. Macc and cheese sucks. Great staff. Brisket salad: fair, not much brisket

One of the best BBQ places I believe I have ever enjoyed and we found it in the most unlikely of locations. The smell of smoked bbq greeted us as we exited our vehicle in the parking lot and rose to heavenly proportions as we entered the building. The interior is small but well setup. Decor is absolutely what I would expect from a southern bbq place. Seating was plentiful and comfortable and staff were friendly and attentive. But most importantly, the food was to die for! Right down to the iconic names for the different variations of sauce. I went with the aptly named "Axle Grease" sauce on my pulled pork sandwich which was thick and flavorful. Service was quick and prices were very affordable and they also have a children's menu. We will definitely be back soon and often. Well done, y'all!

    Had my first visit today.
No menu board in the drive through but it's online and they can give you one at the window.
    Ordered the brisket sandwich.
    I was very pleasantly suprised.
I will be back and I will let others know about ya'll.
