    Menu was limited but the pies were exceptional. Food was very good.

    Wish I could have stayed for lunch but picked up pecan and cherry pies to go. Staff is genuine, helpful and courteous. Lunch specials listed look like a great value. I'll be returning to eat there soon. A family place that has been there since 1928!

    We got there right before change of breakfast to lunch. Menu was super limited and I believe they were training new kitchen work. Our food came out at different times and they forgot quite a few items. The waitress was very apologetic and took off what we didn't get. I appreciate them making us breakfast even though we came in late. We have been coming here for 20 plus years on our way to LSU And saints games. It's a historical place off the beaten path we enjoy.

    Regular, frequent flyers to Lea's, known especially for their pies (and baked ham).
    Currently, on Fridays they serve stuffed peppers, which my wife and I love. It is a homey, friendly, no frills place to eat.
    If you are south of Alexandria on Hwy 71, at Lecompte, drop in for a slice. You will not be (& should not be) disappointed.
