Soileau's Dinner Club

Last week was the first time we visited this good restaurant. But It is obviously not the last time. We had a good time with the good service, with the excellent cuisine and wine and with the honest charge. We will surely come back in a short time.

This place had *great food* and *excellent service* but on the flipside, the "Catfish Opelousas", in all it's glory, was underwhelming for the $24 you pay for it.

Another reviewer made the same observation about the tons of non de-veined shrimp they lay over one, yes one fillet of *mushy* baked catfish, that's advertised as *grilled* .

The Po Boys are the real treat, which is massive, served on buttered french bread.
It's a shame for such a historic fine dine in restaurant the casual food orders are better than the expensive specialty entrées.

Great food. Ate a little of everything and was not disappointed in anything. Definitely saving this place

Good food, good service, and good environment. Well priced for the amount of food you receive. My only complaint is the amount of time it took to get our food. It wasnt a long wait but it wasn't as fast as other places.

Wish Baton Rouge had restaurants like this. I am not a fan of fried seafood but the shrimp here let me know better. Good quality steak and great servers. Felt like I was back in time. Worth the drive If you want a quiet good meal. Thanks Sidney
