We went early on Saturday after being warned that the buffet was not all it was cracked up to be. The only times we could be seated outside was at 9:30 or 12:30. We took out chances and we are glad that we did. There is something for everyone on the buffet, and everything that I had was great. The service by Cynthia was exceptional as well. We will return again.
Sunday Brunch is a Cajun Country must do if you are a visitor to the area. If you live in Acadiana
make the drive for the food and service.
The restaurant is beyond quaint inside with interesting photos, antiques and art from the area. Outside deck patio seating has three levels. Be prepared to take stairs on lower levels. The bottom pergola is covered with beautiful hanging plants and view of the bayou. The buffet is served to you from chafing trays. Everything is great but the chicken and waffles and praline French toast are amazing. Enjoy!
I made reservations for Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 6 pm. We drove 3 1/2 hours to try this restaurant after seeing the pictures on Facebook. We were greeted by the sweetest lady and she put us in the "comfy" chairs. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy. They had a buffet but we opted to order from the menu. Our server was very nice and accommodating. She answered any questions we had and was very friendly. I believe her name was Brandi, I have tried to remember. We ordered Praline Chicken, Gumbo, Bayou Fuselier Shrimp for our appetizers. We had Seafood Fettuccine and Surf and Turf Ribeye with truffle potatoes and steamed asparagus. It was amazing. We had plenty of food left over and he said the gumbo was the best he has ever eaten. It was definitely worth the road trip from Mobile, Alabama. I don't foresee this as being our last trip.
Amazing food and service! We stopped to eat right before their evening rush with no reservations and they were gratuitous enough to let us dine. Our waitress friendly, prompt, and even took pictures for us out on the beautiful patio. We had such an amazing experience we are planning our next trip back! If your in the area or not make sure to make your way there!
