“OMG, OMG!! The food was awesome, the waitstaff was a delight to talk to, prices were good. I had chicken and sausage gumbo, and my husband had shrimp and okra gumbo,Both were Fantastic . Took bread pudding to go....the meals came with potato salad and cornbread Another OMG... the potato salad reminded me of my mom's. The cornbread was light, fluffy ,and must have been from heaven. Y'all need to find this place, it has only been around for 30 years. Everything was homemade.”

“Classic chicken sandwiches and fries were hot and delicious. The lady in drive-through was very nice. Bagging the food can be worked on considering every time I go the fries are at the bottom of the bag smashed with a chicken sandwich on top. I've worked in fast food it's very easy to take 5 seconds to move the chicken sandwich and put the fries standing up on the side in the bag.”

“I've been dining at the sister "store" in Morgan City for years - this was my first time to the Bayou Vista location. The menus are nearly identical but not 100%. I've always been a fan of their Enchiladas Suissas (Green Enchiladas); my wife had a Taco Salad. We were not disappointed. And either location is a win.”

“Super hot and not a lot of shade. The shaded area with the picnic table was swarming with bees around the full trash can. It was scary and nasty outside there. The snowballs are good though. Would be really nice to have something on top to keep it from leaking. It got all over my car's center console. Very sticky. Had to spend lots of time cleaning it up right away instead of enjoying my snowball. Could be avoided by simply putting another cup on top or something like that. I should have asked for another cup to try and contain it.”
