The Greyhound

Visited on a Thursday night. Server was attentive and personable. Pisco sour was excellent. Had the Rueben sandwich and housecut fries. I am a fry lover. The trio of dipping sauces for the fries were phenomenal. The pastrami on the Rueben was great. I deconstruct my sandwiches, and even so, it was wonderful. The cheese was melty and the mustard was not overpowering. My husband had the fish and chips. While he didn't rave about it, it looked good and the fish fell apart while he was eating. Needless to say, his plate was empty when we got up to leave. I wish we would have had more time. I usually do not get dessert, but I would have here. The dark chocolate cake that I can't pronounce.....

My experience left an uneven impression on food menu. Some items were fantastic and others were ok. A dreamy rueben is enough to keep me coming back for more. The Gulf Fish sandwich was a fail. Fish was Pacific hake (far from the Gulf) and tasteless. The bread, fish and sauce a gooey mess of meh. The egg noodles were pretty good and the fries with sauces were enjoyable. Great beer selections and maybe the cleanest restaurant I've been in years. Staff was super friendly.

Perhaps the Galatoire's of Covington? I'd heard it was noisy, but this is the sound of people enjoying good food, drinks, and a great atmosphere. The French Onion Soup is the best I ever tasted. The cheese, draping the soup, is succulent and the rich, pleasantly bittersweet broth is unforgettable. The curry shrimp soup is spicy and filled with perfectly cooked veggies and crunchy nuts. A nice variety of beers, wines, and special cocktails are available.

Ok okay so I ended up here since ramen night was canceled and I have heard several people mention it before including owners and ppl who work here. So I was like let's give it a whirl.

Several sources told me the burger here was good. I almost despaired when I couldn't find it. Then alas the PUB BURGER (The claw form toy story moment) this was a very unique burger the cheese crisp in the middle thew me off but the meat falls off the bun. It's juicy, it's flavorful WOAH! prob the second best burger I've ever had.... (I'll still put our moms burgers at 1 bc that's their specialty but this gives it a good run)

The best thing though is the beer menu... Rubs fingers together. When I saw different regions on the menu with Belgium and St. BERNARDUS. Even though I said I wouldn't order alcohol I did. I was not let down.... Low and behold it came in a ST. B Official trappist beer glass... Not going to lie I fangirled a little bit. Sometimes it's the little things that go the furthest.

Theres over 90 beers here giving chimes a run for their money at least on beer.

The staff was very friendly for a restaurant, my attendant was awesome which is rare in 2022. Tip of the iceberg

The house fries come with 2 different mayo sauces and a garlic sauce the chili mayo is excellent. The curry mayo is unique.

Clientele at the bar were also very friendly and its nice when you can hear others on their first times complementing the food here.

100% recommend coming here if you are a beer drinker or even for a excellent meal. I can see myself frequenting here quite a bit tho that might not be the best for the pocketbook 😂😂 it's not del Porto prices but it is a wee bit pricy but worth the penny.

Looking forward to trying most of the beers and food on the menu. Another excellent addition to the Northshore

**BEWARE a LA Carte menu if asked about a side it's not included on the menu the sides additional (the fries were 10$) tho normally I'd detract a star here everything else was great I'd not even touch it even if it was an addendum

Stopped here for an after dinner drink and had a Pico Sour. A drink you do not find at many places and it was excellent 👌 Enjoy
Came back for another Drink and appetizer. Best fries in a long time. Great interesting and yummy menu.
