The Chicken Box

Fried chicken was good flavor and crispy. I had chicken liver wasn't as crispy as I like but next time I'll ask for a little crisper. All in all food and service was very good. Come and enjoy friendly staff.

My wife and I put a carry out order tonight. The female who answered the phone was very friendly. She said it would take about 15 minutes for our food to be ready. When I walked through the door I was instantly greeted by 2 young females behind the register. I don’t remember their names but they were very cordial. The food was great. The food reminds of “home style” cooking. The chicken tenders are large! The mashed potatoes and gravy and red beans were fresh. The French fries were good as well. Look forward to more meals with The Chicken Box! I will be recommending them to others as well.

Joey must be playing baseball again because he just hit a home run! Good atmosphere, artwork, music, but most importantly, the chicken is hittin I know where I’m pickin! We tried the house sauce and the honey mustard. All the sauces are in double size sauce containers. We got the Mardi Gras deal with the tenders, Mac and Cheese, and Cajun fries! If you don’t try the fries in the honey mustard you’re missing out! Probably the best honey mustard I’ve had and the house sauce has a lemon hint that is delicious. Everything was cooked fresh and not under a lamp. The tenders are huge and crispy, if you eat more than 3 you’re putting in work! Will definitely go back and hope they have onion rings soon on the menu! Only downside in my opinion is canned drinks, would rather fountain, but I’m sure once they get established they’ll have those things. Will definitely go back, I am stuffed!

Great portion of food for $10! The owner was in the store when I picked up and they even had meals for people in hard times that they can give the ticket to a server and get their food at no charge. Atmosphere was clean and food was very good and filling. They also have a homemade sauce that is very good. Definitely recommend to try them! The chicken is not too greasy and the Mac and cheese is very good
