07/03/2020-Ordered Hibachi Fried Rice Shrimp (Fried rice, onion and awful pre-frozen boiled no taste shrimp), Double Dragon Roll (yummy), and Eel Roll (Yummy), a Beef Teriyaki (Fried Rice+Beef with Sauce), Seaweed Salad (seaweed with cucumbers=too watery like it was frozen and just thawed out), Spring Rolls (5 piece, very thin, not much flavor, But crispy)...The only thing I liked was the sushi, everything else was either disappointing or just bad...Also, it should be noted that they only have a Facebook page, no actual website, and on their Facebook page they have their menu posted about a million times, BUT none of it all together, so there are pictures here and pictures there, and none match up to make a whole menu. Many of the menu photos aren’t clear and you can’t actually read the item names and descriptions.
LAST BUT MOST IMPORTANT= Yes, their menu states that Prices are subject to change, which is understandable; HOWEVER, If You are standing in their restaurant then their MENU PRICE, SHOULD BE what You get charged. NOT SO HERE!! I checked the receipt versus the prices on the menu and all but one or two were OFF/DIFFERENT PRICES that ranged from $1-2USD to $0.45-$0.75 difference per item when compared. Which all things considered ends up changing Your total price by several dollars, which to me, is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!! I mean, I get it and understand if You are ordering off an OLD Menu or Menu posted ONLINE, but that SHOULD NOT be the case when You are standing in their restaurant reading off their actual physical MENU!! That is false advertising! Regardless of whatever B.S. price disclaimer they post on their menus!..so, AVOID their menu, unless You want to eat Sushi..AND even then, UNDERSTAND that What You Get Charged is apparently TOTALLY ARBITRARY!! & Likely NOTA WHAT YOU expect it will be (note:The Sushi were the only items that mostly matched up)...This is just my own opinion, go to Asian Fusion down the road in Ponchatoula, as they have great sushi too AND many more other entrees on their menu when compared to Joe’s, Plus, their prices don’t change from what is shown on their menu when ordering standing in their restaurant!...I usually go there, but decided to trying somewhere different, just because I had heard of Joe’s from other people.

This place is pretty darn good. WAAAAY better than Fusion Asian. This is my second time eating here. The first time took a while but everything was cooked extra fresh and hot. My sushi had been very carefully rolled and decorated, she/they paired sauces with each roll in my to-go containers that went perfectly with its parter. Their fried rice has a bit of a smokey taste which I find unique & very much enjoy I got fried rice both times. Here’s where they lost a star, I asked for teriyaki salmon today. I was told they ran out of teriyaki salmon. But I realized when I got home my sushi roll was made with salmon. I also noticed this salmon wasn’t a high standard. It had fat still on it from them cutting off the skin & a bone in it. It tasted like the low quality salmon that comes in the giant fillets in the refrigerated section of large grocery stores. I trust refrigerated fish well done. But sushi fish should always be frozen first or farmed fresh from a good source. I did not eat this roll past the first bite with the bone. Not an expensive roll so I’m not mad. I’m just saying if you don’t have the good cuts of fish I would have rather had it cooked well teriyaki style. Hopefully they at least froze this fish first. Still very tasty stuff though & the salmon I got the first time was higher quality so if you read this far down, don’t knock them out just from this single complaint from an otherwise excellent meal.

There workers are very sweet but they seem a little slow sometimes (no offense). I’ll have to repeat myself about 3 times before they understand exactly what I’m saying, which kind of annoys me. Other than that there food is good, could be better and yeah that about it.

The food is very good every time I've been there. Others have said differently but my experience has been very positive every time. Very underrated restaurant and if you are interested in trying this place, Id say definitely go for it.
