Uncle Ben's Seafood

The food and service was great! The restaurant has an interesting mix of themes. There is country music playing and videos on the TV. The menu is split into two categories Vietnamese and the normal Louisiana fare of fried seafood and poboys. I had the com thit nuong which was excellent. My wife had the ultimate club sandwich with a side of gumbo. The gumbo was great with lots of sausage, chicken and hot sausage in it. They also do smoothies and we split a strawberry cheesecake smoothie which was delicious. We are definitely planning on coming back

Awesome Food My opinion my favorite in Ponchatoula I visited it twice this week with my family, they had the crawfish it's not so spicy if that is your preference but I had the gumbo and that sold me our first visit was on Sunday then again Tuesday. It's closed on Monday . I ordered a porkchop plate for my husband for lunch and again for me and my daughter and son in law Gumbo and my 2nd daughter had the smothered pineapple and chicken/rice plate We absolutely love the flavor it all has in it and on top the smoothie/boba tea are amazingly freshing and what the varieties they never get old.

Not what I expected walking in, BUT I LOVED THE HOT PLATES. Lo mien mmmmm with shrimp and rice with shrimp just bursting with flavor. The name we thought would bring something different but my favorite to my surprise. My fiancé didn't like the place, but he isn't a Chinese food type he likes steak lol.
