Athenos Cafe

I lived pretty closed to the restaurant for a couple of years and used to go there. Food is awesome and stuff is very nice.

This place is the best. They have THE BEST LENTIL SOUP I have ever had. ever. Love the pita chips that go with it too. food always good from here.

I mainly go here for the shrimp or beef shish kabobs. This is the only place that I can get them and it's perfect. My orders are always correct and everyone is friendly.

I absolutely love this place. The food is always hot and delicious and the service is always fast and friendly. I tend to always order the same thing when I go:Meat Moussaka and Meat Stuffed Grape Leaves. The portions are large; I always have enough for lunch the next day. They have never let me down. This is ultimate comfort food and the best Greek I've ever had.

Not what you would expect from the look on the outside (or inside!). The place could use a little facelift or update instead of cardboard brick sheets in the windows in place of blinds. The staff is always nice and attentive, I have occasionally seen their children up there behind the counter (read about this in another review).
Aside from all that the food is very very good. I love the gyros and their hummus. They give great portions, most every time I over eat. I always intend on trying something different but can't seem deviate from my delicious norm.
Don't be fooled by the looks, the food is very good.
