Mike's Runway Diner

Had there breakfast meat omelette it was absolutely amazing....also very large!

Great breakfast good prices friendly wait staff. The place is located at there little airport so was nice to be able to watch the planes going by. I was told they are also adding a sit out place which will open soon.

I was in the area for a meeting that ended a little after lunch time (I live in Houston and I'm in Maine working on a project). I Googled restaurants and Mike's Runway Cafe was less than a mile away. I travel quite a bit and any place with the word "cafe" in it is always good. This place proved that beyond any doubt! First, they serve breakfast all day long! I had the three egg breakfast with sausage patties and the best homemade home fries ever with a side of rye toast. My only regret is that I only got to eat one meal there. They have a flame broiler in the kitchen where they cook all their burgers and other meat. The food was awesome. Then there is the owners! Mike is hysterical. We laughed and joked and ribbed each other as if I'd been a regular for years. His wife, Heather, was one of the nicest people I've met with a geat sense of humor. Mike bought the place last August and turned it from a BBQ place to a successful diner! If you're ever in the area, do yourself a favor and visit Mike's for the best American food in New England!! AND THAT'S A FACT!

Food is great. Prices are more than reasonable, based on the large portion sizes. Wait time for food has been vastly different on my trips, so if you're in a time crunch, let them know ahead of time. I'm sure they'd accommodate you if you're in a bit of a hurry. Very friendly service.
