Fish Bones Grill

We decided to try this place because we were in town for the weekend and it was right across the street from Hampton Inns (which also received a 5 star review from us). The food was amazing!!! We didn't even get to order anything from the entree menu because we wanted to try so many small plate items. We walked out of there so full and even had leftovers. Our total bill was less than we would normally pay for one person, had we gone anyplace else. I wish that we lived closer because there were so many more items that we would have liked to try. You can get several items that they make fresh daily to have as dinners/bread to go or just order a take out order. The bread basket alone had 3 different breads in it and when you think it couldn't get better you try the next type of bread and it is heavenly also.
Enough about the food...from the moment that we walked in the door we were greeted with friendly smiles. We didn't have reservations on a Friday night but our wait was minimal. Our waitress Lindsay was AMAZING!!! She knew all the items on the menu when we had questions and was able to assist us with our picks. She was very attentive without being too in our faces. The food came out quick and hot so we were able to keep adding a new small plate selection without taking extra table time from other patrons. In the end our bill was only $45 (we only drink water with our meals) but we gave her a $20 tip because she worked better than if we had spent $100+ and she certainly deserved it.
I wish we could stop in and grab something to go before we had back to RI on Sunday but unfortunately they are closed.

Excellent vibe! Great salmon wrap and good choices on the menu! Prices are reasonable and reflect a sense of quality. Oh! The fries are outstanding!!

Great food. Great vibes. Great service. One of L/A’s finest eateries. Fresh, eclectic, and fun. Perfect for a night out with friends or family. The bread basket is killer!!

I was really hoping to give this place a 4 or 5 star, but 3 is the best I can do. I didn't see the image but the outdoor seating is adorable with a nice view and music playing, I really enjoyed the ambiance. After being seated I waited about 8 minutes to be acknowledged even though several wait staff members walked past my table. When the waitress finally came she was very nice and attentive. I wasn't impressed with the lobster bisque which I had really been looking forward to... it barely had any lobster and there was something about it that just seemed off. The lobster roll was nicely done with large pieces of claw meat and arugula on top for a nice contrast of texture, and the roll was so fresh and lightly grilled.... but again I was hoping for a little more flavor based on the description of the sauce listed in the menu.

If I lived locally I would definitely give them another try and try something different, or might come sit outside with friends for a few drinks because the view and music make the experience really great.

Absolutely marvelous. The swordfish was the best I've ever had. It was very juicy and tender, without the use of any sauces or glazes. The burnt pork ends were tremendously tender and the chowder was packed with seafood. Jessica was a marvelous server. Definitely will come back if in the area.
