I have never had better mederterrian, Italian food in my life. This is a hidden gem!! The pesto breadsticks, the butternut squash ravioli....all so fresh and homemade. And the drinks are amazing. Well worth every penny. And great atmosphere...not a uptight feel at all...wait staff is friendly and funny!

Hug's has been a Sugarloaf institution for years and years. Recently they have opened a location in Falmouth and they have not disappointed. Their Havarti fritters are a Billionaire's mozzarella stick, outstanding. I recently ate there and they were serving a special which was a grilled pork tenderloin rolled with mozzarella and prosciutto with balsamic glaze. It was great. Hug's is absolutely worth the visit, I would recommend this place to a close friend or family member.

Looking for good Italian food, Hugs on rt. 1 in Falmouth, Maine is very good! Our group of 9 or 10 made reservations to celebrate a neighbor's birthday on the weekend, fun time, maybe abit loud for the other patrons, by the end of the evening most patrons walked by our table with birthday wishes.
The main dining area held about 10 or so tables, in a room with Italian villas painted on the yellow walls . . . cute/old world charm.

The menu offers 8 or 9 appetizers, I liked the meatballs ($3). . . wide selection of entrees ($15 to $30) that feature Italian dishes with pasta, chicken, veal, and some seafood. I usually compare Italian restaurants by their Lasagna, mine was prepared with beef and spicy sausage, very good. ($18) Our group ordered a variety of entrees, one neighbor raved about the chicken "lemoine", and my wife enjoyed her stuffed ravioli with spinach. We also sampled a variety of the red wines which complimented our entrees.

Overall, the service and food earn 4 stars easily, the only ingredient missing would be a view from a window or patio or landscaped terrace . . . overlooking some scene for a fifth star, alas you're in a mall of stores.

Family and friends met at Hugs for dinner before a Flamenco Dance performance at the Mayo Street Arts. This was my first time at Hugs and the service and food was fabulous! I recommend the Chicken Limone...the sauce was out of this world! Definitely returning!
