Definitely coming back. The atmosphere was so inviting and staff were so friendly. Food was delish. They also had an allergy menu which I really appreciated.

One of the greatest meals and atmospheres you will find in Portland.

The staff recommendations are always spot on and the choices of wines or even cocktails to pair are amazing.

Our last meal we had was a steak special. I will never order steak from anywhere else again.

Excellent food, amazing service, and a pleasant setting. The couple times we've eaten here, we've made meals out of nothing but multiple small plates and been extremely happy. (This time we did get the hamburger, as well, and it was outstanding.) They have a separate menu with ingredient details for anyone with food allergies if you ask. The desserts, as others have noted, are amazing. Caviar and raspberry? Yes!

My wife and I sat at the bar and had a good view of the kitchen staff at work and our lively bartender. My wife ordered the eggplant entree and I ordered the daily special which I cannot pronounce but it was incredibly tasty. Everything about Chaval was excellent. I highly recommend!!!

This place was the great. Great staff, ambiance and food. My family absolutely enjoys dining here. The service is always amazing. Cannot wait to go back this weekend for brunch.
