Excited to visit the brick & mortor after stumbling upon the food truck a couple years back. Intimate, relaxed vibe. Great drinks selection. Didn't expect to have one of the best burgers ever at a Japanese restaurant.

Amazing Poke bowl. By far the best I've had. Waitress was super nice and the atmosphere was very relaxed.

This place was pretty good. Not as much flavor for the poke bowls as I’ve had at other restaurants. Also the rice in my bowl wasn’t cooked all the way. The staff wasn’t very friendly either.

As a restaurant owner, I am very careful on what other restaurants we recommend to our customers. Up to this point, we have only recommended 2 (Mr. Tuna and Solo Italiano). As this is a review for Mami, I hesitated to mention the others but then decided that nothing speaks more than the company one keeps and Mami keeps some real good company. They are now added to the short list of restaurants we recommend.

Lets talk food. They have a flash fried peppers with sesame oil that is outstanding. Not spicy, just damn tasty. We had two rice bowls one that had breaded chicken on it that was really good. It was filling and well seasoned, real comfort food. The beef bowl has marinated rib-eye, sweet mama it was goooood. My wife kept ordering and all of it was excellent, no joke. Each dish they present had fresh ingredients was balanced with its seasoning and all just wowed. When you are full and keep eating, you know it is good. Prices were very reasonable for the quality you get. If you went to an upscale Japanese restaurant, you would be charged x2 (at least).

We ate at the bar and the service was excellent. Not sure which beer on tap to get, ask for a sample.
