This restaurant is Maine meets Japan. Masa’s pork belly dish is the best plate of food I have ever eaten. This is an essential Maine experience, whether you are a tourist or a local. The price point is high, but worth every penny. You won’t be disappointed.

Very delicious and fresh seafood! You can't go wrong in Portland with seafood but we had some fantastic sushi and various other yummy dishes at Miyake. The 4 course Omakasa was a great way to get a variety of dishes!

We found this place on Yelp. Its pretty pricey and you need reservations. We we're able to get last minute reservation right when they opened. We had 15 minutes to get to the place but we made it. The place is small but look nice. They staff was welcoming and we'll informed. The sushi chefs were from Japan. We got the omakase the $78 one and the $45 nigiri one with just raw sushi. Every was small, but full of flavor. My person favorite was the grilled sea uni, foie gras nigiri. Everything was perfect definitely want to come back

Best sushi/nigiri/sashimi in New England. In particular, the uni is especially good and hard to find, at this quality, anywhere.
Portland is arguably one of the few places in the world that the fish you are eating is coming from the ocean so close by.

Ordered Chef's tasting menu and it was definitely mind-blowing. The first dish with uni was already too amazing to be true. And the following dishes were also created with heart and craftsmanship. Nothing but respect for Chef Miyake, you must try sitting at the sushi bar to witness all of their skillful preparation. The experience was one of kind. Every single dish was well-seasoned and curated. Both visually and physically stunning.
