Wayside Tavern

So we were there the 2nd night they had been open. The service was good, but lacked the refinement that experience brings. For instance we weren’t told the specials, but the table next to us was and good thing because the tuna crudo special was outstanding! All of the food we ordered was paced well and tasted amazing. The value for what we received was excellent too especially in a town where some restaurants can charge a bit too much. Overall a great spot to go even tho its off the beaten path.

Everything was incredible! The salt cod, the rib steak, the pasta wow! Make sure to save some room for desert!

Wayside tavern is bringing romanticism back to Portland. Jared the bartender makes the perfect Manhattan and the pasta recommendation was perfect with the steak 👌🏾Will definitely be a regular date night spot. Thank you Jared for the hospitality!

Beautiful space with an amazing menu. The ricotta chicken was so good and there are so many great plates to share! Great wine list with plenty of affordable options. A welcome addition to the West End.
