Higgins Beach Inn

A beautiful inn, just a couple streets from the beach! Rooms are clean and spacious, bathrooms are spacious and clean as well. We went in October, the weather was slightly chilli but not to cold. The water was absolutely breathtaking.

Love this Inn. Stress free and laid back. Just what I needed.

Beautiful historic inn. Clean, lovely rooms. Attentive, courteous staff. And just a quick walk to the beach or a short drive to Portland.

I like the area, however everything is far away such as bathrooms and changing areas and if you want to be there for more than an hour or two the parking is far away as well. I go there for my lunch hour and I love it. Very dog friendly. Get there early because after high tide the beach area is limited.

I stayed here in June of 2018. It was very nice and quiet, we also had breakfast included. I have been coming to Higgins beach every year and staying in cottages since before I could walk. This was the first time that I stayed at the Inn and first time there since the new owners took over. The work they did the the Inn is great. I do miss the old restaurant but what they have done is great and now updated without loosing too much of the history and feel it's had since I was a kid. The only complaint that I had while staying here is the AC in our room did not work. We only stayed one night, so it wasn't a big deal and we did let the staff know in the morning. The breakfast portions were also small, we did get complimentary breakfast but ended up getting more which cost extra because the portions were a bit small. Other than those two things it was pleasant and I am happy I was finally able to stay here.
