Ken's Place

Been driving by Ken's for years when visiting Maine. This summer stopped by and had an early dinner of fried clams. Loved the coleslaw but the fried clams were more batter than clams...some didn't even have a clam! Sorry won't be going back for fried clams! Customer service was good.

They have a great menu. I personally don't like seafood, however my sister loves it! She said that it was the best scallops she EVER had!
There is plenty of parking space available and plenty of seating as well.
Highly recommend this place!

One of if not the best place to get seafood! Literally the only place I will eat out at when I want battered Clams, Scallops or Shrimp:) It is located in a beautiful area with lots of picnic tables on grass with lots of beautiful pine trees for shade if you want to stay out of the sun.

Everything they make is GOOD:) The portions are big!! They also have an ice-cream window- yes!!! they actually have a window for ice cream service. The service works like this: the order windows are inside..you put in your order and they call your number. You pick up your food when they call your number..you can eat inside ( there is a small family friendly bar area if you want an adult beverage ) or you just carry your disposable tray of food outside to one of the picnic tables. PS: When I say family friendly bar I just mean that it is very low key and actually blends right in with the total family friendly atmosphere of Ken's...you might not even notice it:)

Service is quick ( considering they seem to always be busy ). The staff is professional, well dressed ( in white and with aprons ) with lots of young summer hire associates who are friendly, sharp, on their game and focused on customer service. I love how they seem to always have an associate walking through the dining areas with a broom and dustpan keeping the dining area well maintained.

The building has lots of wood and is designed along the lines of classic style Maine Diners. Lots of parking and trees and grassy areas for kids to run around and have fun in. I just at their today and ordered one of my favorites..battered clams and shrimp combo. I also love the clam and scallop combo but I had that last week so I went with the shrimp today. I hope this review helps:)

The line was fast and the food didnt take long at all. The young people are very hardworking and attentive with a sincere smile. The food was excellent! Fried clams, onion rings and shrimp. Worth every penny! Our family enjoys coming here year after year.

If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. This place is amazing. When we go it it usually always busy as we are only in the area in prime vacation time but the wait is worth it every time. Great portions a little pricey but worth every penny. The seafood is great and the options for those who don't like seafood are delicious as well. This is always my boyfriends choice for birthday dinner and he HATES seafood.
