Gyro Express

One of the most delicious food that I ever tried in The Maine Mall. Very nice guys.

Gyro Express is a Halal Turkish Restaurant located in Maine Mall food court in South Portland. The owner is Turkish, and very nice and it is a family atmosphere. This concept is truly refreshing when you think of buying food in mall food court, and in contrast all of the items here are prepared while you wait as is tradition for your meat (lamb or chicken)to be sliced from the spit(skewer). There are also a lot of fresh options to top you shawama or falafel with.I guarantee it will be worth the wait. As you can see by the numerous photos attached, I frequently visit this restaurant and it has quickly become my favorite place in the Portland area. I am so happy tp have halal food offered in the mall, it is truly a convenience and now I can buy with confidence and I highly reccommend it. My suggestions are below:
Do- try the felafel
Do -try the shawrma
Ask for it grilled
Try the Grape Leaves..Its called Sarma in Turkish.
Do- try the Baklava
