1st time at this restaurant and just left there and couldn’t wait to do a review on the way back to the KOA campground. We are visiting from South Carolina. I myself am originally from Maine and was wanting some of that good Maine seafood. Actually came from another restaurant because they couldn’t accommodate what I wanted for seafood. Not only was the seafood “off the charts” awesome, I got exactly what I wanted, which was clams, scallops and oysters made up from the seafood platter. Thank you so for accommodating. In addition to the seafood, I ordered the fried chips instead of French fries and they were just like my Grandmother used to make years and years ago! The waitress was very courteous and kind...sorry I can’t recollect her name. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody. Thank you again Muddy Rudder...for a fabulous job!!!
First visit and loved it.
We had a table overlooking the water and the scenery was beautiful. Enjoyed watching deer playing in the field.
Service was a little slow, but we were not in a hurry.
Maine mojito was a great start!
I had the baked cod and my colleague had the steak tips with mushrooms. Everything was delicious.
Even enjoyed the live piano during dinner.
Vegetarian + gluten free + omnivores can easily eat well here. Inside or outside tables where the waitstaff don't rush you. Service was attentive and whoever was free brought your meal so they don't cool off. Large wine selection plus signature drinks. Unfortunately one of our party ordered a chocolate intense dessert that sold out, but they enjoyed the peanut butter and chocolate pie.
Wow! I can see why this was rated so highly. My husband and I ate here last night and we left very satisfied. Phenomenal service and perfectly cooked food. I had the grilled salmon with scampi butter. I can't eat rice, so requested a switch to roasted fingerling potatoes. My husband also made a substitution in his meal and there were no problems. Creme brulee for dessert was the perfect finish. Velvety custard and a fantastic crunchy top. 10% off for being a guest at the Best Western was a nice bonus. We will definitely eat here next time we are in town.
The fish and chips was the best fish and chips my mom and I have ever had. It was perfectly crusted and the fish fell apart perfectly as well. My brother got the sausage sampler and they threw in an extra rabbit sausage. Great experience, if we ever come back to Maine we will have to return. Good job chef!
