Jalapeno's

Since this place was owned by what appeared to be a conglomerate (the cups and menu said it also was part of several restaurants in the area) so I was cautious with my expectations. I wanted to sit on the porch, but it was packed- and we had our baby with us, so it would have been cramped. We sat inside instead, and I was right next to the window, so I could still feel like I was outside. No one was inside since it was a lovely day, so we had the place to ourselves. The service was quick and friendly. I opted to get the lobster tacos, and I am so glad I did. The quality was incredible. It came with some guac, cheese, and pickles onions. The refried beans and rice were fairly standard, nothing fancy or different or that I haven’t had at any chain Mexican restaurant, but the tacos were out of this world! I was so sad there were only two. We had a nice helping of chips and salsa when we sat down, and they refilled the chips for us when we were done. I enjoyed a nice cold Corona with my meal, and was so full by the end, I couldn’t finish the rice or beans. If you come here, I would definitely get a locally-inspired meal, with seafood, or preferably, lobster! These were the best tacos I have ever had- but I can’t lie, it had a lot to do with the freshness and quality of the lobster that was in it. A real treat- pleasantly surprised. I’d definitely go back.

If you're craving Mexican cuisine jalapenos is your pick while you're in Bar Harbor. Sitting out on the porch at night was a very nice experience. Love places with outdoor seating! The food was good, I had the Big burrito and it was really tasty. Wish we had had room for their appetizers. Definitely wanted to try those bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers and the Mexican Street Corn.

The pitcher of margarita is well worth the price for the amount, and how great it tastes. we start with a classic house margarita but they had many other flavors. The food was also delicious and priced well.

Started with the street corn which was perfect, and ended with the enchiladas.

The service was quick, and the staff were extremely pleasant and nice to talk to. I wish I had more time in bar harbor so I could have eaten here again.

For me the food was pretty decent. I'm from Texas so my Mexican food bar is pretty high. However, the service here was the best! We ordered a pitcher of frozen margarita. We really didn't like the texture because it was really icy. When the manager was informed we really didn't like it she immediately came out to fix it and offered us a pitcher on the rocks. Our server and the manager had a friendly smile on their face and were regularly checking on everyone.

An amazing staff, and great outdoor seating. The food was amazing, and left nothing to be desired, unless it's possible to get unlimited guacamole! My kids and I were on vacation and where we go so does our dog, she was also welcomed, and I'd say she enjoyed the food just as much!
