We stopped here for lobster rolls right before we made the trek home to CT. Our waitress Thea was very pleasant and attentive. The lobster rolls were great - they were loaded with meat. The view was really nice as the restaurant is right on the water.
We had a great experience at The Chart Room. The service was efficient and friendly. In our group, we had grilled scallops, seafood linguine, and deep fried shrimp. All of these entrees were excellent. The fish was very fresh and perfectly prepared. The side dishes were simple, but also nicely done. Sadly, we live on the other side of the continent and likely can't come back. But we would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone coming to visit Bar Harbor.
Food is great. Prices are typical of the area. Service was nice and pleasant. I gave an average rating due to the typical price hike for the tourist crowd. It's less of a restaurant, and more of a tourist stop. You will be charged more at these types of places, because there is a price hike for the added experience, and the bragging rights of having a "real" lobster roll in Maine etc..
The food and service were good. The prices were a little higher than I expected but the restaurant is in a scenic location with good views from almost every table. It was busy the night we went but we still did not have to wait for a table. We were seated quickly and the server came over immediately. We had to park in a lot across the road which is pretty busy. Since we arrived at dusk, I was a little concerned that oncoming traffic could see us as we crossed the road especially because there is no traffic light to aid crossing
Excellent service and food. Seaside patio as well as indoor areas. Wide selection of seafood and a few other items such as burgers and salads. Fairly large portions. Had fish and chips (fries), quite good. They also serve wine and beer. Iced tea was also good. You can take unfinished wine bottles home. We were a group of 10 and they handled that well. No problem with split checks.
